Whose trying to kill Batman in Arkham Origins Pt. 2

Just like in Part One I list DC Comics assassins who we could be up against in the up coming Arkham Origins and whose out to kill Batman:

Name: Constantine Drakon
Skills: Master martial artist whose reputation goes without saying is among the best and he's known for throwing so fast no one can even see it coming, as well as catching projectiles aka batarangs and.... maybe arrows.
Why: Another Green Arrow villain hint here and being paid a large sum to kill Batman is a bonus for our assassin Constantine he'll be another one to possibly watch out for.

Name: Unknown better known as Prometheus
Skills: Where to begin...

Body Armor: The costume is made of a lightweight and durable material, which is intertwined with synaptic relays to increase their formidable fighting prowess and covered with microscopic nanobites to affect the opponent's brain. The armor is also able to fly through the manipulation of magnetic forces and generate force fields.

  • Chameleon Device: Prometheus used the device to pass by Captain Marvel and infiltrate the Justice League satellite, the device allows him to imitate the voice and facial mannerisms of a person.
Computerized Helmet: Is connected to his brain and central nervous system.
  • Download Capabilities: Able to download any kind of information into his brain and download movements, mannerisms, and fighting styles into his central nervous system. He has been able to download the Watchtower's schematics onto a CD and from there download them straight into his brain which allows him to automatically know where everything is in the Watchtower. Has been able to download a CD into his central nervous system that contains 30 of the World's Best Martial Arts Masters, one of them being Batman's fighting style.
  • Hypnosis: By flickering the lights at a rate of 10 cycles per second, he can induce hypnosis.
  • Neural Chaff: Given off by the helmet, neural chaff disorganizes thought processes. It interferes with brain electricity. It is like giving thoughts the "Flu." Exclusively used against heroes like Green Lantern who needs to concentrate to use his ring.
  • Short-Term Memory: Enhances his short-term memory
  • Pain Killers: His helmet releases endorphins to take care of any pain he feels.

Transportation

Cosmic Key: Possessed the key to The Ghost Zone, allowing him teleportation abilities via another dimension as well as a hidden extra-dimensional base. It can also be used to inflict total molecular disintegration of a target.

Weapons

  • Microscopic Nanobits: Attacks central nervous system, infecting the brain of a human and/or metahuman through electronic impulses, causing the individual to lose control of his abilities for 5 minutes.
Energized Nightstick
  • Reprogram Computer Systems: Program electronic equipment when in physical contact.
  • High Hit-Impact: Able to destroy boulders and anvils with a single light strike.
Wrist Gauntlets: Fires and/or launches different kinds of ammo and artillery.
  • Phospherous Dart: Catches opponents on fire
  • Molecular Toxins Dart: Attacks morphoplastic nervous system. It gives complete spastic paralysis. The victim doesn't have any control over their physical structure. It stops his molecules from forming polymer chains. This effect turns the victim into a puddle and can last about an hour. Used against opponents with malleable bodies like Plastic Man and Martian Manhunter.
  • Mini-Rockets
  • Grenades
  • Special Bullets: Bullets capable of causing serious injury, even to Martians and Kryptonians.
And that's the suit he uses to be extra bad ass although he is still a skilled armed and unarmed combatnant, Intimidation, expert marksman, and a genius i give up on the game if he's in it.

Why: We all know Black Mask yes? He's a genius who knows gathering all these assassins could get ugly so I propose that he makes Prometheus his bodyguard in case things go sour with the assassins or Batman even, you read the skills and the suit powers right? Wouldn't you want that to be at your side defending you?

Name: Anatoli Knyazev aka KGBeast
Skills: With his hand cut off by his own... other hand he'd make for a great early boss for the Dark Knight and his gun arm and master marksmanship is a deadly combo I'll have to keep my trigger fingers ready to dodge his bullets.
Why: Black Mask is going to like Anatoli's style of self mutilation to survive and is going to employ him with the job of taking out the bat due to his experience with demolitions and being a KGB agent to boot.. that's a lethal combo to employ and that's what Black Mask is going to need on his side.

Name: Talia Al Ghul
Skills: Being a more than capable martial artist, weapons expert, and beautiful to boot Talia is great to include as she also has the entire league of assassins inf ninja squad at her command.
Why: Black Mask would have either done business with or is being played by Rhas Al Ghul because he would use Talia to further his own goals of destroying Gotham. Let's not forget the foreshadowing to a certain awesome son that Batman and Talia could have mentioned in a future Arkham game.

Beware the Batman comes to TV

It's that time again! Yep Batman has been absent from the TV spotlight since his.. let's admit major role in Young Justice and the Brave and the Bold being canned it's time for a new Batman animated show. Beware the Batman will be the newest Bat cartoon that will air on Cartoon Network.

The Caped Crusader will return to television screens this summer when Beware the Batman premieres on Cartoon Network Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. (ET/PT) as part of DC Nation. Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans.

A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, Beware the Batman incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form. Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordswoman Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie. Produced by Warner Bros.

Animation (WBA), this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” WBA’s Sam Register serves as executive producer, with Glen Murakami (Batman Beyond) and Mitch Watson (Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc.) producing.

Starring Anthony Ruivivar (Banshee) as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Beware The Batman boasts a stellar voice cast with:

JB Blanc (The Count of Monte Cristo) as Alfred
Sumalee Montano (ER) as Katana.

Deathstroke Playable Through Amazon Pre-Orders

As stated above pre-ordering Batman: Arkham Origins will get you Deathstroke aka Slade as a playable character through the challenge map bonus game... We don't care! After watching the trailer seeing him in action it's an understatement that gamers and comic fans are excited to get to control this deadly assassin.

Amazon is the lucky retailer holing the codes and the power as of right now with the game so close but so far away other retailers could have a bonus of their own to make sure they get our money.

Batman: Arkham Origins Rundown

Origins will take place on a snowy Christmas Eve in Gotham, years before the events of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Warner Bros is said to have taken inspiration from classic Batman titles Batman: Year One and Legends of the Dark Knight, but we're betting that if Origins is anything like previous Arkham titles, it'll only use these story arcs as a jumping off point.
- Supervillain Black Mask has been named as one of the major bad guys of the game, and features heavily in the newly released screens. He's placed a hit on Batman's head, offering a reward to whoever can best the Bat. Right on cue, the baddest supervillains from the DC Universe converge on Gotham to give it a go. Including the Joker who is in the game!
- Eric Holmes - lead designer of The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and an Epic Games alumnus - will be responsible for the creative vision of the game. Rocksteady gave an early helping hand with regards to mechanics, tech and engine, but the team at WB Montreal were left on their own to craft the story.
- Warner Bros Montreal's work on Batman Arkham City Armored Edition for the Wii U has allowed it to build up some experience with Rocksteady's established codebase.
- The demo shown to Game Informer begins with Batman perched on Jezebel Plaza watching an arms deal. Penguin is talking to a tied up Alberto Falcone, threatening him to leave the weapons business. Alberto agrees to tell his father. Batman swoops in to interrogate Penguin, but before he can beat the information out of him an unknown assailant shoots a grappling claw in to reel Penguin away. When Batman tries to pursue, Deathstroke is revealed to be the one standing in his way.
- The Batman of Origins isn't the Batman that fans have come to know from earlier Arkham titles. He's rougher around the edges and probably not as confident as later incarnations. Which is why Kevin Conroy isn't voicing Batman this game.
- The screens show a snow-covered Gotham sprinkled with Christmas lights, and there's even a goon or two getting into the festive spirit with a Santa hat.
- As Origins takes place earlier in the city's timeline, "Old Gotham" hasn't been transformed into a prison yet and Amusement Mile hasn't been flooded.
- Batman, trying to figure out why the Black Mask wants him dead, will turn to the Penguin for information.
- Good news for lovers of Arkham City's combat - WB Montreal say they haven't fiddled with it. "If it's not broken, don't fix it!" said senior producer Ben Mattes. We like him. The developer does, however, admit to adding "new layers, new opportunities and new tactics." New enemy types will also force Batman to learn new moves in order to defeat them. Glides, ledge takedowns and sleeper holds make a return, as does predator mode.
- The Batwing makes an appearance in Origins, but players won't pilot it directly. Instead, it forms part of story sequences and is used as a form of fast travel.
- A new gadget, the Remote Claw, can be used like Just Cause's detachable grapple line to target two large objects - like, say, two oversized goons - and knock them together.
- WB Montreal has said it wants to tell a story "within the detective environment" and cites BBC series Sherlock as an inspiration. It sounds like the team want to re-emphasise the crime scene scanning and deduction sequences that were slightly underused in Arkham City. Batman can use his detective vision to figure out bullet trajectories or other points of interest.
- The Batcomputer can run crime scene simulations which players can replay as many times as they need to and from multiple angles and at different speeds, in order to find the clues they need to continue. Cases can be found all over Gotham and are presented as a counterpoint to combat scenarios.
- Old Gotham is half of the game world, with New Gotham making up the other portion. Overall it's said to be twice the size of Arkham City.
- To access content spread out around the city, players will have to bring down the hacked tower network, which emits jamming signals that stop the Batwing from flying or sensors from picking up points of interest. They sound like they'll work very much like the radio towers in Far Cry 3.
- A "Most Wanted System" is said to let players chase down villains outside of the main story.
- A dynamic event system, "Crime In Progress" will allow Batman to take on small tasks around the city to raise his notoriety. Tasks include helping cops put down thuggish mobs, or saving a snitch from a sticky end.
- Challenge Mode will be included "in one form."

Whose trying to kill Batman in Arkham Origins pt. 1

Batman Arkham Origins has left Black Mask with the incentive to kill Batman of course, hiring the assassins Deathstroke and Deadshot to kill him for money and glory that's already two confirmed who want the head of the Batman. Here I'll name other characters who could possibly appear in the game as the rest of the assassins who want the big payout for our Dark Knight:

Name: David Cain
Skills: Assassin skilled in many forms of armed and unarmed combat, peak physical condition, Master spy and Master Martial Artists.
Why: Being a top assassin it'd be no surprise as to why Black Mask would find and hire him to kill Batman, not only did he train a young Bruce Wayne, framed him for murder and can give him a run for his money let me say if he's in this game out to kill me as Batman gamers need to be prepared because he is no cake walk as a boss. Also he has a bad relationship with the other two assassins Deadshot and Deathstroke.

Name: Lady Shiva aka Sandra Wu-San
Skills: Not only is she one of the most skilled martial artists in the whole DC Universe she shares her title with other great fighters such as Batman, Black Canary, and Richard Dragon among few others. She's mastered fighting styles such as Leopard and Dragon Style Kung Fu, Stick Fighting, Judo, Capoeira, Karate, Kokusho and Savate. Mix that with her Tatical Skills and total control of her emotions and blood flow and you've got another serious contender.
Why: "Her hobby is hunting down the best fighters in the world and beating them to death with her bare hands" said by Barbara Gordon you'd think that would be enough but there is always more, Shiva sells her services of assassination for the money and the challenge it brought her so why not give her the challenge of Batman as well as the other assassins after him?

Plus let's not forget who David Cain and Sandra are the parent's of.... Possible forshadowing to Cassandra Cain aka Batgirl in a future Arkham Title!?

Name: Jade Nguyen aka Cheshire
Skills: Being a skilled and deadly assassin she's got the skills of an acrobat and skilled martial artist, also being a poison specialist can help with her caliber of killing her targets.
Why: Black Mask is going to need diversity with his assassins each to be different from the last offering all kinds of skills Batman will have to think twice about as well as something he isn't ready for, and being poisoned by her blades or nails even isn't something Batman would be ready for.

Name: Arthur King aka Merlyn
Skills: Being one of the best archers in the world is not an easy thing to have on your resume as a villain and of course being an archer goes back to the diversity I mentioned earlier and whats more diverse than bows and arrows in a city of guns and bullets. He's a Green Arrow villain MrDarkPhoenix how can he fit in the game? Being an assassin Black Mask can hire one but here's a more important reason:

Kevin Conroy not voicing Batman in Arkham Origins

Veteran voice actor and the voice of the Dark Knight Kevin Conroy could not be returning to Batman: Arkham Origins, as fans are angry and hurt towards this I've got to say it makes perfect sense. Think about it Kevin Conroy is a master Batman he is the Batman... Batman doesn't make mistakes and neither does Kevin Conroy (considering he's Batman and all) A Batman just starting out doesn't fit the resume of awesome that Kevin has built for himself and he needs to be ready for the Arkham sequel!

Although this hasn't been confirmed by Kevin or Warner Bros. it should make a different turn in the voice department for now especially since the rumor is the studio has hired a new no name voice actor to play Batman. Only time can tell but here are some great Batman voice performances that would be good to give a second shot to.

Rino Romano (The Batman)
Bruce Greenwood (Batman Under the Red Hood)

The Joker is in Batman: Arkham Origins!

What better way to commemorate the announcement of Batman: Arkham Origins than by confirming that other villains from Batman's famed rouge gallery are making the cut... and none other than the clown prince of crime The Joker! If you can't see him even though I've enlarged the picture he's in the middle  right corner smiling at you because you can't see him unless you look closely.

No word as of yet confirming if all the villains you can spot will appear in the game as villains you face off against or if they will simply make appearances but now it's time I make the controversial statement revolving who should voice Joker:

John DiMaggio
Micheal Emmerson

Mark Hamill's retired from voicing Joker and don't get me wrong we love his unique voice work as the clown prince but others have proven to be great at voicing Joker and they should be given the chance to shine with the talent they have shown.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review

Ever wonder what would happen if Superman decided that the human race can no longer govern themselves and he needs to take over the earth unifying it under one government that is controlled by him? Well your answer is right here by Ed boon and  NetherRealm Studios as Injustice: Gods Among Us. Now now I know what you are thinking "oh no the last time they did something like this it was the worst idea ever" but lets be honest here we know everyone in NetherRealm Studios and Ed Boon himself learned that DC vs Mortal Kombat was an epic fail that we just don't talk about. Now before I get on with the Review I'm sure you all know this is in fact another 3D fighter with a Mortal Kombat feel to it. But anyhow lets get on with the Review shall we?

The story of the game itself in a nut shell is that Superman finally goes against his boy scout code and decides on his own that earth is no longer able to fully be controlled by humans after 8 million people died in the explosion of Metropolis city(yes that does mean Lois Lane and their baby as well). Shockingly enough you would think it would be because of someone like Lex Luthor, Doomsday or even Darkseid would be responsible but the one who is responsible for it all is the Clown Prince of Crime himself...Take a moment to bask that in for a bit, yes people I am talking about the Joker himself.

Don't be fooled by the pie!!!

So after the events of that happening the game itself takes place 5 years after that event and Superman has basically established a new world order making heroes clash against each other. And of course there is always a resistance and it is led by none other than Batman himself (oh come on you know that was going to be a given like that was going to be any shock). And before anyone flips out about it yes it is in an alternate universe as well. The game features an amazing cast of characters including Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Nightwing, Flash, Green Arrow, Raven, Harley Quinn and other characters.

Messed up? maybe but come on who doesn't like to see Bane break Batman over and over again :evil grin:

Another fun feature in the game is the STAR Labs which is basically the challenge tower for the game  and lets not forget the wonderful costumes they have designed for each character giving most people their new 52 outfits and some of them the old school looks as well. One thing I do have to say is that they really took their time with the stages, They decided that you can almost interact with the background and use certain items to cause damage and honestly the fact that they even added the area you are in to get destroyed as the battle goes on is really something as well. One of my favorite things to do in the game also is called level transition where you can send an opponent from one area to another. I'd show you a video describing it but that's ruining the fun in seeing it on your own and seeing all the different cameos from different heroes and villains that appear as well.

One thing that's HIGHLY upsetting about is that they did not add my favorite character in. I mean come on they put Aquaman who is freaking useless before they put him in. Who is my favorite character you ask?

Well let me just not put it in words but show you instead:

Yes Red Hood a.k.a Jason Todd

Lets be honest he would be a PERFECT addition to this game and they didn't even bother putting him in!!! (Again)

Well now that the rant is gone away lets go to the final parts of the review shall we?

Good parts:
  • Very well created story
  • A well balanced cast of heroes and villains that are available to play as
  • Beautiful visuals along with an interactive backgrounds makes you feel as if the area would be destroyed the more they are fighting
  • Kevin Conroy is Batman and Tara strong is Harley Quinn and Raven...come on those two are amazing as the voice actors for these characters
  • Offers different ways of challenging yourself when you play the battle mode to give yourself a challenge and make you better
Bad parts:
  • Some of the fights are debatable if they were to actually go head to head if they would actually win
  • RED HOOD IS NOT IN THE GAME!!!!
My final verdict as of try, buy, or shy? I would definitely recommend you to buy the game its absolutely worth buying in my opinion

Now I'm not entirely sure if they will do DLC for this game but I am assuming so since you can buy a season pass already for this game I figured I would end this by recommending some of my own ideas for characters to add for this game as DLC

Characters:

Need I say it again?

Would love to see Starfire in the game

Both Supergirl and Superboy

Static Shock.....worth a shot even though DC hates on him

Can the Gears of War writer handle Batman?

Karen Traviss is no slouch to the video game fiction world having taken on the stories for Gears of War 3, Halo and Halo 4 but also the comics for Gears of War that DC made. Now she's going back to DC and giving Batman: Arkham City Unhinged a run for it's money and writing the comic and let me say she is not a stranger to writing excellent game fiction. Putting her in the world of Batman even though she has no prior knowledge of Batman but just remember... neither did Tim Burton and look what he gave us, coming into this DC Weekly Digital Comics and she's going to do a great with this dark story that focuses on the villains of Arkham City. She took the job because she likes to be pushed out of her comfort zone and she takes superheroes and that genre to all new heights and i cant wait to see how real and complex she makes her characters, environments catch her eye as characters not mentioned in the game might make appearances we'll just have to wait and see how it goes but I'm excited don't forget to pick up.. or in this case download them from Comixology and your local comic book store.

Paul Dini not writing Rocksteady's next Batman game..

After beating Arkham City and going back to it because i am currently battling my brother for the Riddler this game has taken me on a ride that no game has taken me on, i find myself getting deeper into it and playing it a lot trying to do everything playing challenge maps as the characters for fun and getting more and more into it even though I'm done. So when the rumor of a Silver Age prequel going around I've got to say I'm a little excited but i feel that that a sequel would do the series more justice... no pun intended. For those worried about "The Joker not being in it" my argument to that is that they have done entire story lines without the Joker granted Mark Hammil and his Joker are timeless and his legacy of the Arkham titles but i feel like it's time to show the world that Gotham can be destroyed by others.

Yea a sequel is in order and give Jason Todd aka the  Red Hood his chance to shine and... shoot! He would so many reasons to go to Gotham (Mostly to investigate the Joker) but he is a character that needs to be in this kind of dark game.

With Paul Dini possibly not writing the game it could mean they want to keep the prequel fresh and maybe bring in someone new? Keep everything fresh including the writing would spice things up but with this being nothing but rumors I'm holding out hope for an all out throw everything and everyone at Batman and take Gotham for the darkest tour in video game form it's in for.

Michelle Pfeiffer down to don the leather suit again?!... If asked of course

We all know that Michelle Pfeiffer and her portrayal of the sexy and seductive Catwoman was an iconic role and redefined acting and taking a character to the absolute best and leaving an impression of nerds everywhere. With Anne Hatthaway taking the mantle of Selina Kyle/ Catwoman in the upcoming Dark Knight Rises, i personally am super excited to see i won't be going to compare roles since that's unfair to both actresses instead I'm looking at this as an experience to see how Anne has incorporated herself and how far she is taking her amazing skills at acting to portray a darker more realistic version of our favorite thief and love interest for the Batman.

Ever wonder how Michelle Pfeiffer would do if she donned the costume again in this modern day movie world as Catwoman? I think that sometimes also but i feel that Michelle Pfeiffer should have her few minutes as an older Catwoman passing on the mantle to her daughter, not only would that give us the original Catwoman at work in new surroundings but it also gives a passing the torch feeling to whoever they cast in the reboot since we know she'll be in it somehow. In a catshell Michelle stated that if someone asked her to do it she would do it would be interesting to see if she still has that cat madness left as she's still in psychical prime they would have to change the suit to one that isn't so skin tight but hey you never know. What i do know is i cant wait to see Anne rock this role in her greatness.. Thursday 11:59pm COME SOONER!

The legend ends... on your IOS and Android phones

When your phone is in trouble he is not slow it's the Batman to the rescue and away he will go! Gameloft has confirmed a Dark Knight Rises mobile game today (Since Arkham City is the non movie based games Gotham needs) And i gotta say it looks pretty damn great for being a phone game. It plays with that simple and fun atmosphere you would expect from a mobile game, not to sure if it's going to be as fluent and combat heavy as the Rocksteady games but one can hope right? As for the villains none have been confirmed as of yet but one can dare say that Catwoman and Bane are going to be featured in the game somehow since it's based off the movie. Prepare your smart devices soon for an announcement revealing the games release which is going to be somewhere around the time the movie is released and i will keep you all up to date on any news i see.. TO THE MOBILE BATCAVE!
