Second Annual Star Wars Read Day Announced

Lucasfilm, Disney Publishing Worldwide, and its publishing partners announced the second annual Star Wars Reads Day to be held this October 5, 2013.  Last year, 30 authors and 1,500 costumed volunteers participated in over 1,200 Star Wars Reads Day events across North America.  On October 5 of this year, Star Wars fans, authors, and artists will again come together in this multi-publisher initiative that celebrates reading and Star Wars.  Participating publishing partners include Abrams, Chronicle Books, Dark Horse, Del Rey, DK, Quirk Books, Random House Audio, Scholastic, Titan Magazines, and Workman.

“Star Wars Reads Day is the kind of initiative that we at Lucasfilm love to support” says Carol Roeder, Director of Publishing at Lucasfilm.  “Reading and Star Wars have gone hand-in-hand since 1976, when the novelization of the original Star Wars movie was released.  Over the years, many fans have discovered the joy in reading through Star Wars books, and we hope to continue encouraging more people to read.”

E3 2013: Wii U gets Third-Party publishers

Just when you guys thought the Wii U is a dead system because it's not getting any third-party support this article confirms that you couldnt be any more wrong. Ubisoft, Square Enix, Disney, Warner Bros. and Activision have all signed some of their games to the Wii U and 3DS respectively, so gamers prepare for the list of confirmed games coming and get ready to get your Wii U because now it's on!

1. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
2. Batman: Arkham Origins
3. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate
4. Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut
5. Disney Infinity
6. Just Dance 2014
7. Rayman Legends
8. Scribblenauts: Unmasked
9. Disney Planes
10. Shin Megami Tensei IV
11. Skylanders Swap Force
12. Splinter Cell: Blacklist
13. Sonic: Lost World
14. Watch_Dogs

So hype to see some great games coming to the Wii U and 3DS most of us myself included will probably be getting the Wii U because of Mega-Man being in Super Smash Brothers and Bayonetta 2 but these are some damn great reasons also!

Would more added footage get you to see the Avengers.. Again?!?!

As if The Avengers didn't bring in enough money and hype for us all over Disney and Marvel are not satisfied with the #3 spot in the box office held by James Cameron Avatar and Titanic... So what do you do in response to something like that? Release a directors cut of the avengers with 35 minutes of additional footage!! I think my heart just stopped and my Phoenix Force is tingling. Well a little birdie said Marvel is considering releasing this Directors Cut by the end of the summer... but what could they add that would really bring in the bucks to get them the desired #1 spot?

• An extension on the Hulk vs. Thor fight
• Hulk picks up Thor's hammer
• More segway into the sequel villain
• Member spotlight including possibly Wolverine
• A Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) Cameo
• Fantastic Four/ Baxter Building appearance

All these and more should be things to consider if you really want to see the #1 movie spot and of course i have no problem seeing the movie again (Saw it twice already) Joss Whedon is against Directors Cuts i heard so we'll just have to wait and see what goes on with that, but i would love to see if what they cut out is just as awesome as what they left in.

Angelina Jolie becomes.... Disney Villain?!

Ever wonder what the heck they would make after live action films like Alice in Wonderland? Well i bring you the news surrounding a Disney prequel none of us expected and with an actress who fills the robe of who they casted. Angelina Jolie will be starring in Disney's Maleficent a prequel not only explain the origins of the Disney villainess but what made her heart harden and caused her to curse the baby Aurora. I think this role is perfect for Angelina Jolie not only can she act the part but she looks like it also... which is not only great but makes you think what else could be capable of Disney in the live action department as of recently. Production started June 13th and it's going to be amazing trying to figure out the puzzle that is Maleficent. Stay tuned for more news and the movie which is being released in 2014.

Damn Epic Mickey is platforming.. literally

Epic news guys Epic Mickey 2 is coming to Xbox360, Wii, and PS3 with a new paint brush of features like voice acting for every character and its going to pull a musical twist this time around. Co-op has also been confirmed for the game which is great because i love co-op adds a funner experience with your buddy, the game will feature you playing as Mickey and player 2 is Oswald. It's complete drop in drop out co-op Oswald is more than a skin or a multi player character he is with you every step of the way from beginning to end and is a "Helper" character to you or whoever is playing him.

Remember those camera issues from the first Epic Mickey? Well they were being taken care of once they finished the first game so that's great news there for you guys, nothing about the story has focused except your going back to Wasteland and were going to to other forgotten lands.
