The Walking Dead Returns for Season 5

This should come as no surprise to anyone but The Walking Dead will be back for yet another season, season 5 was confirmed via this quote from the official press release.

, "We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever: The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season. This is a show that has erased traditional distinctions between cable and broadcast. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently – and most notably – with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and here’s to more Dead.”

Good to know that the possible way this season ends branches us off to another adventure with our walker whackers. Do you guys think that the show is doing good even though steering far from the comic? Should they change smaller details for the bigger picture? Post your theories!

Walking Dead Season 4 introduces Rosita Espinosa

Just when you thought The Walking Dead Season 4 couldn't cast anymore you couldn't be more wrong! Rosita Espinosa from Issue #53 of the comics will be joining the cast this season. Seems a little early to bring her character in since they were introduced after the prison and in other events but none the less we'll see how this goes, who else is thinking her buddies Abraham and Eugene aren't too far behind? They were all introduced together so why not? October 13th is when the Walking Dead will grace our TV's again so stay tuned for more zombie slaying action.

Rosita Espinosa will be played by Suzie Crabgrass aka Christian Serratos

AMC hosts Walking Dead Preview Marathon

This 4th of July at 1pm is going to be more than BBQ, drinks, family and friends it's going to be AMC and Kevin Smith also hosting the Walking Dead season 4 preview marathon on the Atlanta based set where season 4 is currently being taped.

During the marathon, Smith will speak with the cast and crew, sharing behind-the-scenes footage from the "highly anticipated" fourth season. The first season of TWD will air twice on July 4, featuring marathons of both the original and special black-and-white editions. This will be followed by Season 2 on Friday, and Season 3 on both Saturday and Sunday. Each day of this four-day event begins at 1pm.  Just so no one gets confused the black and white showing only applies to season 1 and not seasons 2 and 3.

The Walking Dead Season 4 regulars confirmed

With the agonizing 6+ month wait for the Walking Dead to come back I've been appointed to give you guys some helpful news regarding the show to at least get you hyped up for this news. The following characters have been promoted to series regulars and we'll be seeing more of them once season 4 rolls around:

  • Phil Blake since it's not fair to call him the Governor (Obviously)
  • Chad L. Coleman as Tyrese
  • Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha
  • Hershel's youngest daughter who has been around for most of the series and was pretty convinced she was a regular since way back when.
With this confirmation fans can rest easy that Tyrese is going to possibly have more screen time and have great character development and prove he is the bad ass we comic fans know he is.

What fans are expecting from The Walking Dead Season 4

To say me and other fans of The Walking Dead were highly disappointed with this season 3 finale is an understatement, Nothing matched up except for characters who were included in the arc. Here are some things that can be redeemed to us comic fans and other fans alike.

While watching season 3 The Walking Dead season 3 i always had a feeling that the prison would be split into two seasons why? Because of how big the arc was it'd be unfair to introduce it and leave it at the fight and death of certain characters and so we have it now it's going to continue into season 4 with it's hopeful reimanging of the fatal storyline:

  • The Governor to me felt like he was just beginning to spiral into madness and insanity during season 3 so in season 4 fans are expecting him to act more like he does in the comic book which is ruthless and careless of others in his actions.
  • Some time is going to have to pass since Phil went AWOL at the end of season 3, where could he go? Planning and strategies to meet up with our prison survivors again or be prepared for them to come back to Woodbury.
  • Woodbury should return to it's formal glory of a safe haven to draw in new residents and the only ones who know who the Governor truly is are his right hand men.
  • The Prison is a dark story line a lot of messed and traumatic things happen to the cast and those things should be broadcasted, this season for me having read the comics lacked a lot of the gritty moments that made this arc something to marvel at.
  • Fear Factor! As i read through the story in the comics i feared the Governor in every page (That's hard to do I've been reading comics for years.) Now that it's live action it's time to make me afraid of Sunday nights as my DVR is turned to the Walking Dead.
  • Rick and Tyrese finally have been brought together and now it's time to showcase the friendship and bond these two share as leaders in there own right Tyrese isn't afraid to call rick out on anything when he doesn't make sense.
  • Prison exploration is still possible with more people we can discover iconic locations in the prison and move onto more of the prison that the TV only fans might not know.

Brace yourself... TYRESE IS COMING TO WALKING DEAD!!

HOLY ZOMBIES READER! Have you read the Walking Dead comic like i have?! Then you can understand my excitement for this piece of news i am bringing you. Tyrese the awesome, efficient comic book survivor and my personal wanted character besides Michonne and the Governor is finally making his way to the TV show The Walking Dead! For those that don't know and i wont spoil it for you so don't worry Tyrese is a bad ass! He and Rick are going to bump heads when it comes to leadership and how things get done and trust me you are going to love Tyrese like we comic fans do. The Wires own Chad Coleman is going to be portraying Tyrese and i say it's a great casting, he has great acting ability and he is going to give Tyrese the justice he deserves on screen. Speaking of screen time rumor has it he's going to appear in the third seasons eighth episode so that is something to look forward to this season a lot more! Can't wait to see him in action and for you guys to also!

Not into episodes of zombie action? How about a full game?!

Well it's been said for as long as The Walking Dead has been dominating AMC, TV, and the Zombie era for as long as it has. A lot of games/ genre's were talked about for a possible game, an MMO was talked about but felt like it wouldn't take off  so a Walking Dead Facebook Game came into play. A FPS based on the show was also talked about but with Dead Island and Left 4 Dead out and dominating it was felt it would copy them in one way or another. Now I'm here to announce The Walking Dead Game being developed by Terminal Reality the game takes us on a journey through the eyes, sweat, guns and survival instincts of Merle and Daryl.

Forget shooting where is my hack and slash game featuring Michonne!

Brother's whose proved that gun totting red necks are the kind of people you need to have around you during a zombie apocalypse, Co-op is probably going to be a big and fun factor of the game no word on levels or anything else but if it is anything like it's trying to be... better save your ammo and what not survival horror doesn't give you anything easy.

Walking Dead is not afraid to take the Controversial moments to TV

For so long shows have always been afraid to go their or do that or push the limits of how far the censors can take them, not The Walking Dead though. The comics have been home to some pretty messed up and demented events and guess what.. Those moments are coming to TV baby!!Whoo just imagine all the blood and gore we already get mixed in with events that would make you cringe at your tv screen and have you thinking "They can do that" the comics don't pull any punches so the Tv series isn't allowed to either. The producers want to take a darker step in the shows direction and I've got to say its a smart move, were introduced to zombie world ain't no sunshine and lollipops especially for what's to come in season 3 when it returns in October.. All i can say is throw your ambition and your limits out the window because you wont be needing them where Season 3 is taking you.

All those requests i know we've all gotten for Farmville, words with friends, poker, etc.. What would you do if you saw a request to play.. THE WALKING DEAD!? Well AMC and RockYou have made your dreams come true with the Walking Dead Facebook game.

You'll be able to create your own teams in order to battle the walkers and to protect what's yours aka your camp, Fights with the undead are done turn based complete with side quests and the ability to earn achievements and all the other great gamer goodness were used to. Completing missions and challenges earn you different weapons and trust me you will need them if its anything like the show your going to need all the weapons and ammo at your disposal... maybe find some silencers or something also.

Remember that specific tamagotchi that always wanted everything when you were asleep? Well i hope you recruit only the best late night Facebook warriors because its going to be their responsibility to keep the camp safe the more friends the better chance your camp will be safe from walkers and you can survive the Facebook zombie invasion when the game drops in April
