Nolan Verse Batman Villians that could

Poison Ivy:

Christina Hendricks:

Now I know Poison Ivy is super natural villain who wouldn’t fit into a darker real life film, I hope these points make it easier to have you think differently.

First I would like to say that first and foremost Pamela Isley is a plant loving extremist eco terrorist but what she’s doing can it really be considered bad? (Hold on to that question.)

Eric McDavid a green anarchist and vegan is a real life eco-terrorist, being convicted of crimes against the environment. Those ideals and his ecoanarchism mentality make how he went about something he was passionate about in just the dark tone we need to look over. He and his partners had bomb plans, plans to sabotage the Nimbus Dam and fish hatchery. Their plots mainly involved property damage of harmful environmental atrocities.

With that in mind how dark can Chris Nolan go with Poison Ivy in a dark knight movie? Darker than a lot of places you wouldn’t go. Think about the mental breaking points Batman has made in the past: Scarecrow pushed the limits of what you’re afraid of, Ra’s al Ghul pushed his limits for the sake of what needs to be done to save the world, The Joker does what he does best and pushes how far you will go in literally every sense, New villain Catwoman will push his means of lust and putting his duty before his possible love since Rachel died, and the big man Bane himself pushes the Batman to his psychical back breaking point.

What Poison Ivy represents is a great means to be represented on film; she fights for the environment, the plants, and nature that can’t fight back she takes up the mantle to be nature’s savior.

Poison Ivy will stop at nothing to defend her plants and the environment, so instead of using the blow things up approach let’s take her expertise of Botany and Toxicology into affect here, crimes based off various poisons and toxic materials. Bombs yes but releasing a poisonous gas, explosions yes  but spores that affect the nervous system Toxicology is limitless and so should her options. What better way to get your point across then with an everlasting affect of poison?

Another thing a real life Poison Ivy would have is access and knowledge of blue prints, bomb making, and a lab to work in for her crimes to take full effect.

Her trademark immunity to toxins, bacteria, and viruses should be implemented because it’s more a part of her character than the ability to control plants. Her poison kiss is part of her game also, her learning curve and descent into madness should be taken into full force in this kind of dark movie, her realizing after her accident that the world never took her seriously or the environment so she takes it upon herself with her new found prowess and resources to make the world listen to the damaging eco system.

Taking her crimes to power plants, towers, and dams, Batman will have to answer the most damaging question of all “What is the limit between right and wrong with Poison Ivy?” since Ivy fights for her plants is Batman really going to push forward in pursuing her or feel his human side come into play as the Dark Knight? Since the enviornment is a serious problem what will Batman do to aprehend someone whose passionate about her goals of eco equality.

Her arsenal in a real life movie should include: Toxins, viruses and possible eco friendly weapons. How far you can go is limitless; she would be portrayed as her own twisted life incarnate of Mother Nature.

The Black Mask Guide (Hopefully for Mark Strong.)

Just to save time i am referring to Black Mask as Mark Strong.

Reading Material:
Batman #386-387

May be classic but it sure gets the job done, this basically explains the story of Roman Sionis a child of a very wealthy family. Long story short his family resented the Wayne family even though Roman as a kid befriended them and even a young Bruce Wayne.

Christopher Nolan is looking for gritty villains? Look no further than Black Mask.

Black Mask isn't just a Batman villain fellow readers and nerds he is a villain for Bruce Wayne also, one time he kidnapped Wayne Enterprise executives and putting masks on there faces. This drew Batman's attention (yeah like Bruce had to go far and what tell himself in costume?) as he hunted down the False Face Society and ultimately meets Black Mask.

Black Mask is the greatest crime lord in Gotham having the ranks of even commanding and orchestrating Arkham escapes, and some single handed.

Black Mask and his group the False Face gang ranked up in Gotham exceptionally well under his control, one thing you had to do was wear a mask from his collection and wear it on jobs and around Black Mask himself.

What Mark Strong (or whoever gets cast) should focus on is Black Mask's thirst for blood and crime, he's a villain that is kill you first cant ask questions because its to late your dead.

Black Mask is a Criminal Master Mind, being a crime lord for as long as he has its a safe bet that you know he isn't stupid. Were talking about a man that nearly took control of Gotham City and its crime underworld at least twice.

You want dark for a villain? how about i throw in that among a lot of things Black Mask is capable of he is a renowned torture expert, whether its to get information about something or just for the heck of it. That spin and twist would be a perfect thing to portray in a real life Batman movie series, granted younger audiences wouldn't be able to see it but i believe Black Mask is not and will not be a family friendly villain.

Mark Strong has no problems portraying a mob boss in a movie (Frank D'Amico Kick Ass) what would need to be done is a complete mental spiral take Frank and magnify his personality to at least 1000% and darker. He would kill this role because of how much depth he has as an actor and what this character represents Mark would put his whole self into it.

Look i found the False Face Gang.

Martial Arts: Black Mask couldn't have gotten to be a master crime lord without knowing a thing or two about knowing how to fight.... you know that right? He can and has been on par with Nightwing, Catwoman and even Red Hood and Batman himself. There would need to be a psyhical part to pull this off but while in Black Mask mode Mark would do great.

All in all i believe with Chris Nolan and the direction he wants to take Dark Knight Rises he would not overlook Black Mask at all. Mark Strong or whoever might be cast would need to blend mob boss with a dark twist with some bloody knives and two semiautomatic pistols and an attitude to match.

By the way with Catwoman already in the movie it should be known and or shown in the movie that Black Mask hates with a passion the lovely Selina Kyle aka Catwoman.

Don't think Black Mask is crazy yet? How about he forcibly disfigured his wife into taking him back after his mask incident she committed suicide and he has a mannequin that he talks to like its real. Kind of like Two Face and his dependence/ need for his lucky coin.

The Tom Hardy guide to Bane. By MrDarkPhoenix

Tom Hardy should research the role:
Batman The Animated Series:
Season 1 episode 75 – Bane
The Batman:
Season 1 episode 2 – Traction
Both episodes  feature Bane when he first shows up as what he is, a mysterious assassin who has been hired to kill batman.

Reading material:
Batman Vengeance of bane:

Tom should capitalize on that image as well as the big muscle bound villain, Bane is more brains than people think.

Bane’s mentality leaves A LOT to work with he was just a boy his father was unable to carry out his life sentence for trying to overthrow a government and so he had to live his life in the prison Peña Duro. Bane didn’t let it get to him he overcame this hardship and grew stronger from it.

Bane’s childhood teddy bear Osito was his only friend in prison while he was a boy. (Although a lot of people didn’t know he had a knife in the bear for protection.) Should be included in the movie if they do a flashback to Bane's past gives us a feeling of Bane at a time when he was still a child.

While in prison Bane literally teaches himself everything, without a formal means of education bane begins teaching and learning all kinds of scientific and tactical disciplines. Making him one of Batman’s smartest and deadliest foes. Being a natural genius also helps.

Martial Arts:  While in prison Bane studied and also created his own forms of martial arts. What Tom should do is own that fact and brush up on some unique moves, for this role he needs to become a literal killing machine.

Another thing about Bane’s mentality is that he is highly devious and can plan and strategize with the best of them and so forth. His first thought when he arrived in Gotham was taking on Batman head on is foolish so he broke down the walls of Arkham as every prisoner escaped. Waiting three months for batman to round everyone up that’s when bane made his move.

All in all i believe Bane to be a villain with high Psychological and Psychical attributes, being a hired gun and a master planner makes him a double whammy for someone like batman. Throw in the skills he uses with the venom and you have a bat recipe for disaster.
