Wonder Woman costume details

Just as eager as the world is to see what our precious warrior Wonder Woman will be rocking in the Man of Steel sequel? The details give us some insight on what it will resemble!

"It's a thrilling and slightly scary prospect, of course," Wilkinson says. "It's so important to get her right. She really deserves to be presented on screen in her full glory."
Wilkinson goes on to say that he's looking at "the history of how the character's been presented on the big screen and the small screen and in comic books and graphic novels; we process it all, and then we kind of put that aside and work out what is right for our film, for the cinematic universe... And we try and create a Wonder Woman that's relevant for today's audiences."
Have any theroeis? Thinking her new 52 outfit is the inspiration? Or a modern upgrade her way comes?

Batman: The Dark Knight Comics end in March 2014

Batman: The Dark Knight #28 cover

DC puts a close to a Batman title? Writer Gregg Hurwitz has confirmed the curtain or in this case cape closing for the 52 series.

Batman is forever, but sadly not all of his titles are. Batman: The Dark Knight will be ending with Issue 29. When I first signed on to do a single arc with David Finch, I never imagined I’d stay this long. Because of my work in novels and screenplays, I’m rarely sure what sorts of deadlines I’ll be juggling at any time, so I usually commit to a single six-issue story at a time and write way out ahead of schedule. DC has been great and gracious about accommodating this, and because of their flexibility, I wound up writing on the title for two (really damn fun) years.

The Bat-office has been terrific, and I want to thank Mike Marts and the other host of DC folks (Geoff Johns, Rickey Purdin, Darren Shaw in particular) who lent support over these past years, as well as my stellar colleagues on the writing side—Scott Snyder, Peter Tomasi, Gail Simone, JH Williams III, Kyle Higgins, and so many more I overlapped with. Sonia Oback, Brian Miller of Hi-Fi, Dave McCaig, and John Kalisz did fantastic work on colors, and Dezi Sienty provided expert lettering for much of the run.

In particular, I’m grateful to my artists—first and foremost David Finch. He originated this book, initially handling both writing and drawing duties, and he’s the one who first invited me to the dance. We had a blast with our depiction of the delightfully wicked Mr. Crane and we hope you did too. I loved working with Ethan Van Badass on our Hatter arc, and later with Alex Maleev, who drew Clayface with skillful, staticky delight. The annual and a few fill-in issues saw me reunited with my Penguin: Pain and Prejudice artist, Szymon Kudranski. Looking at that roster of names, I’m pleased to say that Batman gave me opportunity to work with some of the finest comic book artists in the world. Thanks, boys. And thanks, Mr. Wayne.
Wipe away your tears though loyal fans:

"Before we take our bow, we still have great stuff in store for you. The gifted Alberto Ponticelli will be bringing to life a two-parter that is very dear to my heart. And our Dark Knight finale issues will see my good buddy Van Sciver introducing a Man-Bat you've never seen before."
Batman: The Dark Knight #29 will be released in March 2014.

John Diggle makes his comic book debut

Anyone watching Arrow who knows the mythology behind it knows that characters like Meryln and Felicity get the spotlight as of now it didn't seem that it would seem that the comic book ruled and the show wouldn't have any impact on the comic book world.

Man were we wrong! I'm just starting on Arrow but it's not much to already know Diggle is down to earth, easy to relate to and an awesome bad ass to boot! He's made his debut in Green Arrow #24 which is already on comic shelves now! So Diggle's making his mark and the way Arrow is going who knows what else can happen. So glad to see him make it into the comics proving once again that great characters can come from anywhere!

Gotham: Commissioner Gordon TV Show Confirmed

With Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. getting rave reviews and taking the TV comic book universe by storm DC has retaliated.. with a prequel Commissioner Gordon television series titled Gotham. With networks in a bidding frenzy for the rights for this show it appears the new DC series has a home.. on FOX? hmmm this can make it possibly more difficult to crossover with Arrow on the CW being apart of two different networks and all but it's in the progression stage. Along with that news the series has been given a direct to series order without the pilot being seen and skipping the pilot step all together.

The series will focus on a young Detective James Gordon and "the villains that made Gotham famous." Bruno Heller (Rome, The Mentalist) is writing the Commissioner Gordon, which will most likely launch during the 2014-2015 TV season. Gotham will take place before Gordon meets Batman, who will not be a part of the series...... yet

The only other DC show that was spoken of was The Graysons but that got it's ropes cut.. and didn't happen due to it's release being the same time as the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy but now with this we can see a 24 type of show with hard hits and Batman's lesser known gallery making a show that much more awesome!

Villain choices:
Anarky
Calender Man
Mad Hatter
Victor Zsasz

Just to name a few with the Man of Steel sequel featuring Batman could the show feature Batman at the beginning of it's 2015-2016 season? All this said and done when more information comes public I'll be sure to keep you posted on this and more.

Introducing the new 52 Lobo

Fans of Lobo who are anticipating this issue of VIllains month one-shot featuring Lobo, written by Marguerite Bennett with art by Ben Oliver. DC Comics has debuted a new Lobo design by Superman artist Kenneth Rocafort.

"The Lobo you’ve seen so far in the New 52 is not who you think he is," said DC Comics Editor-in-Chief Bob Harras on the DC blog. "In this one-shot, you’ll be introduced to the real Lobo. A ruthless killer, Lobo is on a quest to kill the man who has taken his name."

"This Lobo is equal parts strong, vicious, and driven. There’s a darker and more logical idea about what a force of nature like him is capable of. After all, this is someone who can infiltrate high society, fly a space ship, and adhere to a very specific moral code that’s not your typical anti-hero one. Oh, and, this one-shot takes place very far away from Earth. And when I say very far away, I mean it takes place literally on the other side of the galaxy."
"In this design, Ken updated Lobo’s facial tattoos and weaponry by adding laser edges to his blades and gloves that’ll give him extra strength with their mechanical usage. In the end, Ken transformed Lobo into a lean, mean killing machine."
It's a cool design but honestly it feels like it could have gone to such deeper and broader horizons story wise this look gives it more of a son of Lobo feel, possibly joining the Teen Titans or even Red Hood and the Outlaws. We'll see though how this new look interacts in the 52 DC world below are some of the looks that could have been.

SDCC 2013: Harley Quinn gets solo comic series

If you're like many comic book fans this long 10yr wait since Harley graced her own comic book is a long wait and now it's been confirmed we wait no longer! Mistah J's own clown princess is getting her own monthly series in the new 52 co-writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, along with an unknown artist, will be putting Harleen Quinzel in the spotlight in a new ongoing series.

"We took a good long look at the New 52 version and then applied it to what we were going to do in the series. Harley is a complex character and we are going to build on her background, motivations and her home and supporting cast. Sort of what we did with Power Girl but with a mix of a bit more homicidal maniac added in."

Conner added,

"We want to put her in a new surroundings, with new people, and see how she behaves in that environment. Is she going to try to keep it together, or is she just going to cut loose and introduce her new world to the Harley brand of crazy?"

But what about Mistah J your wondering? Bat-Family guests? Guest stars in general can all be answered with these quotes:

"The Joker is someone that she'll never be able to shake, nor is she really going to want to. Their relationship is a lot of what defines her now, although she is going to get into a lot of stuff where it has nothing to do with him. But that will always be looming in the background. She'll have some serious ex-boyfriend issues."
"I always think its a bit of a weakness to start pouring guest stars in every issue out of the gate, but she does play in a very colorful world," said Palmiotti. "In this series, we are moving Harley out of Gotham to a place that makes sense for her. Gotham will always be a part of her adventures, but we've got some madness up our sleeves.

Whose trying to kill Batman in Arkham Origins Pt. 2

Just like in Part One I list DC Comics assassins who we could be up against in the up coming Arkham Origins and whose out to kill Batman:

Name: Constantine Drakon
Skills: Master martial artist whose reputation goes without saying is among the best and he's known for throwing so fast no one can even see it coming, as well as catching projectiles aka batarangs and.... maybe arrows.
Why: Another Green Arrow villain hint here and being paid a large sum to kill Batman is a bonus for our assassin Constantine he'll be another one to possibly watch out for.

Name: Unknown better known as Prometheus
Skills: Where to begin...

Body Armor: The costume is made of a lightweight and durable material, which is intertwined with synaptic relays to increase their formidable fighting prowess and covered with microscopic nanobites to affect the opponent's brain. The armor is also able to fly through the manipulation of magnetic forces and generate force fields.

  • Chameleon Device: Prometheus used the device to pass by Captain Marvel and infiltrate the Justice League satellite, the device allows him to imitate the voice and facial mannerisms of a person.
Computerized Helmet: Is connected to his brain and central nervous system.
  • Download Capabilities: Able to download any kind of information into his brain and download movements, mannerisms, and fighting styles into his central nervous system. He has been able to download the Watchtower's schematics onto a CD and from there download them straight into his brain which allows him to automatically know where everything is in the Watchtower. Has been able to download a CD into his central nervous system that contains 30 of the World's Best Martial Arts Masters, one of them being Batman's fighting style.
  • Hypnosis: By flickering the lights at a rate of 10 cycles per second, he can induce hypnosis.
  • Neural Chaff: Given off by the helmet, neural chaff disorganizes thought processes. It interferes with brain electricity. It is like giving thoughts the "Flu." Exclusively used against heroes like Green Lantern who needs to concentrate to use his ring.
  • Short-Term Memory: Enhances his short-term memory
  • Pain Killers: His helmet releases endorphins to take care of any pain he feels.

Transportation

Cosmic Key: Possessed the key to The Ghost Zone, allowing him teleportation abilities via another dimension as well as a hidden extra-dimensional base. It can also be used to inflict total molecular disintegration of a target.

Weapons

  • Microscopic Nanobits: Attacks central nervous system, infecting the brain of a human and/or metahuman through electronic impulses, causing the individual to lose control of his abilities for 5 minutes.
Energized Nightstick
  • Reprogram Computer Systems: Program electronic equipment when in physical contact.
  • High Hit-Impact: Able to destroy boulders and anvils with a single light strike.
Wrist Gauntlets: Fires and/or launches different kinds of ammo and artillery.
  • Phospherous Dart: Catches opponents on fire
  • Molecular Toxins Dart: Attacks morphoplastic nervous system. It gives complete spastic paralysis. The victim doesn't have any control over their physical structure. It stops his molecules from forming polymer chains. This effect turns the victim into a puddle and can last about an hour. Used against opponents with malleable bodies like Plastic Man and Martian Manhunter.
  • Mini-Rockets
  • Grenades
  • Special Bullets: Bullets capable of causing serious injury, even to Martians and Kryptonians.
And that's the suit he uses to be extra bad ass although he is still a skilled armed and unarmed combatnant, Intimidation, expert marksman, and a genius i give up on the game if he's in it.

Why: We all know Black Mask yes? He's a genius who knows gathering all these assassins could get ugly so I propose that he makes Prometheus his bodyguard in case things go sour with the assassins or Batman even, you read the skills and the suit powers right? Wouldn't you want that to be at your side defending you?

Name: Anatoli Knyazev aka KGBeast
Skills: With his hand cut off by his own... other hand he'd make for a great early boss for the Dark Knight and his gun arm and master marksmanship is a deadly combo I'll have to keep my trigger fingers ready to dodge his bullets.
Why: Black Mask is going to like Anatoli's style of self mutilation to survive and is going to employ him with the job of taking out the bat due to his experience with demolitions and being a KGB agent to boot.. that's a lethal combo to employ and that's what Black Mask is going to need on his side.

Name: Talia Al Ghul
Skills: Being a more than capable martial artist, weapons expert, and beautiful to boot Talia is great to include as she also has the entire league of assassins inf ninja squad at her command.
Why: Black Mask would have either done business with or is being played by Rhas Al Ghul because he would use Talia to further his own goals of destroying Gotham. Let's not forget the foreshadowing to a certain awesome son that Batman and Talia could have mentioned in a future Arkham game.

Nick and Flash want to be movie Lex Luthor

Michael Rosenbaum has stated that he's the choice for Lex Luthor in the Man of Steel movies, With the help of his fans (You included) he wants Warner Bros. to keep him on their radar for casting the villain in the Man of Steel sequel.

Do you guys feel Rosenbaum's 10 year run on Smallville as the crazy billionaire can make it in the movies? I'd think he could do it but the jump from TV to a movie is a really big jump, also on the other hand a movie can give his madness and range more of a darker tone if that's how they want to portray Lex.

What do you guys think? Sound off on twitter, blogger or my facebook fan page so we can discuss this topic!
