Konami announces digital download for Revengance


Konami has announced the hit slash game Metal Gear Rising: Revengance for the Playstation Network is available now as a digital download, To kick things off the VR missions earlier confirmed as an exclusive for the PS3 will be able to download March 12th! And get hits the VR mission pack will be free... for a limited time only... until April 3rd to be exact so hurry and get downloading because who doesn't love free DLC?

30 new VR missions take Raiden and the gamer through new ways to slash and take out enemies so don't think your invincible because you and Raiden need to be on the top of your game to tackle the challenges ahead.

Metal Gear Solid Rising Revengance to feature VR missions as DLC


Konami will be releasing DLC centered around VR and sub missions.. with other characters! Who knows maybe David won't be to far from the game like we thought. Pricing and release dates haven't been announced so we still have some time to wait but at this point we can let the speculation and wish list posts begin! Let the want for David flood the interwebs as i think Gray Fox can be more than a downloadable skin for pre ordering at Gamestop.

Pre-order Revengance at Amazon and wear a hot costume... literally


Gamers who pre-order Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengance at Amazon in North America are treated to an Inferno Armor skin for slash friendly Raiden, wait that's not all though the fiery red costume is more than some fancy ways to look as you brutally kill your enemies it comes with a perk.

The Inferno Armor grants you more inventory space for your throwing weapons (grenades) so who said that skins couldnt help you in the long run and from playing the demo i can say i'm going to need some more grenades.

Raiden will teach us how to use his blade... with ease!


Metal Gear sure is getting the make over from stealthy game that tests your patience to hack and slash adventure where it's kill quick or your dead and I've got to say I'm very excited to see Raiden in a new light besides that questionable side kick in Metal Gear who while being naked took out solders and had to evade them.. while naked.. his nuts roasting on an open fire?! Let's move on to the more grown up Raiden whose got himself into some swordsmanship classes and is ready to cut people.. and watermelons! 

Here is the latest video of sword slicing goodness.. I don't think I've ever felt this way about a Metal Gear game in a while! 


Ok are you just as in love with this game as i am!? I want this game it's amazing so far and i can't wait to slice the heads off my enemies! As you can tell Raiden's sword is what your going to be using for the majority of the game and man oh man is it something i can't wait to get to use with my controller. It kills your enemies so fast that they can't react or get up or live... can you say Muramasa Blade! From the looks of blade mode you pick exactly where you want on your enemy to go and it will be sliced away with ease, I have a feeling that the combo system in this game might have the blade mode as a finishing move that earns you big combos.
Raiden and his bad ass Tacyon energy aren't the only things to be excited for in this game the same people that brought us Bayonetta are behind this game and Bayonetta had excellent curves to kill. This game is going to be beastly in the combat department once the counters are shown and other ways we can decimate our enemies and i cannot wait to put down the stealth and put up my sword and surgically cut off some heads!

With a title like rising how can you die?


Slice and dice master Raiden getting his own game was already an awesome concept that i was fully on sword with, so its hard to believe a project this cool and well shown would be secretly cancelled. I know its a shocker right? Well the original Rising team focused on the idea of a game of pretty much slice and dice.... that was it though. After that cutting vision was seen the team lost what the heart of the game would be and then Kojima decided to cancel it abruptly.


Platinum games creators of games like Vanquish and Bayonetta came to them and wanted to take over the project, with Bayonetta being a huge action success why not let them have the chance to make Metal Gear: Rising great? Well let's for starters get some things out of the way:


  • Changed the name of the game from Rising to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
  • The story is being changed a little bit, the story Konami came up with is having the narratives changed a little bit.
  • A sequel to Metal Gear Solid 4 as originally planned and is a straight spin off and part of the canon series.
  • Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya will not be involved as thought.
Even with a new company behind it i know Platinum will make this game the best game this can possibly be and as powerful and amazing as it deserves.
