Bishop and Warpath join the Days of Future Cast

You read that title correctly our time traveling energy blast absorbing mutant and our X-Force member have been included in the X-Men: Days of Future Past cast.

Actors Omar Sy (Bishop) and BooBoo Stewart (Warpath) will portray the said characters, we all know Bishop fits due to his inclusion in the 90's cartoon and how time travel is pretty much in his mutant contract.

Warpath however is prominently on X-Force so it's going to be interesting to see how his portrayal can help his chances of coming to the movie-verse and possibly have more in store for him.

Anyone reading this I can already tell what your next question is... Where is Cable?

Come with me if you want to live X-Men

It's no secret that Days of Future Past is going to be the First Class sequel to the X-men movies, and Mark Millar being the awesome consultant of Fox is trying to get a Terminator vibe going with the sequel.

Terminator vibe meaning what you ask? Well the one thing that was missing in the original two movies were the lack of the Sentinels:

The big bad robot mutant killers whose appearances are page filled during Days of Future Past and why not properly and finally introduce them to the movies in a better light. Plus the Terminator vibe is going to be perfect with the added affects of the past, future, and superheroes i mean come on who doesn't want to watch Hugh Jackman as Wolverine tear into some Sentinels live action!? With the direction we are most definitely getting a bigger picture and even more of a vision than the original movies and i cant wait to see what is thrown at us in this movie as we know more.

If anyone should be in the fight in the future it's CABLE and BISHOP!!

Patrick Stewart playing real life mind tricks on us?

When the man himself Sir Patrick Stewart was asked about returning to his iconic and perfectly cast role as Professor Xavier he simply smiled and said "I think there is every possibility".. Come on! Why not bring him back i think the plans go farther than we think with Sir Ian McKellen returning as Magneto you cant have one without the other honestly so i think we can take that as a yes! He also added some sprinkles to the hype cake and added the names of his female co-stars: Halle Berry (Storm) Famke Janssen (Jean Grey/ Phoenix) and was caught saying.. "Yes I'll be reprising...." only to be cut off by someone saying and of course Hugh Jackman and Sir Ian McKellen. Not sure if all the starts from the previous franchises would reprise there roles i would love to see them again as the characters they brought such life to especially Hugh, Halle, and Famke as the respective characters and of course Ian and Patrick. In the hands of another director now that Marvel is working hard to make movies great X-men can be revived and take place after X-men 2 traditionally.

We'll see what happens with the first class sequel though that is taking place during days of future past which has old and young versions of major characters Patrick can have his start in that and then Marvel's Phase 2 or even Phase 3 can have X-men 4 under it's belt!

X-Men Destiny: Review

My fellow mutants and nerds I'm bringing you my review on X-men Destiny, Let's start out by introducing this game. You play as one of three newly discovered mutants Aimi Yoshida, Grant Alexander, and Adrian Luca. How do the three of them get themselves involved into the mess the game presents for you?

  1. Aimi is a girl that was left behind by her father in a way to toughen her up and have her walk on her own two feet.
  2. Grant who is an up and coming football star knows nothing about politics or the war on mutants and humans.
  3. Adrian is the polar opposite of the other two, he was raised to hate mutants being apart of the force trying to eradicate them and was trained to be the perfect mutant killing machine to avenge his father due to his death being caused by a mutant.

The story of the game is what makes it shine Mike Carey writer of the X-Men: Legacy comics takes the story into his own hands. The way the game takes you, your at a mutant rally that is being attacked (Of course) so at that point your powers activate at that moment, not before you can choose which powers you want though:

  • Density Control: The ability to change your mass, for offensive purposes or defensive purposes.
  • Energy Projection: The ability to shoot energy to cut through enemies, cut through the nervous system to paralyze them, and defend your self with raw power.
  • Shadow Matter: The ability to craft the shadows into your weapons of pure offensive power, heightens your reflexes and gives crowds the right to be sliced up.

You have a big choice ahead of you new mutant, the Brotherhood and the X-Men will be all around taking care of their own objectives and you will have to pick whether you want to do missions for say Surge or Quicksliver and you get factions which add up to your big choice of whether you want to join the X-Men or the Brotherhood.

I think its pretty obvious why i chose to side with the X-Men eh guys?:

The gameplay is what you would expect from a Marvel video game two button combo's mix it up for even more combos etc etc it's a really good gameplay game i will give it that. Throughout the game you will get 4 slots for all kinds of other abilities you can use from X-Men and characters from the Brotherhood ranging from all kinds of effects my personal favorite is the DPS i was able to add to my character.

The graphics are something i felt iffy about sometimes characters don't look all that right and mouth detail is lacking and seems like mouth's droop and the graphics fall apart at times.

Now on my verdict on whether i think this game is a Try, Buy, or Shy:
  • X-Men in a game!
  • Choices to join the X-Men or The Brotherhood really make the story that much more enjoyable and add a lot of replay value.
  • The story feels new and makes adding the three new characters feel welcome without being there for a while.
  • Graphics could have been a little better, makes the game feel rushed.
  • Character voices are not what you would expect and should have been various voice actors from animated series, etc.
  • Good but very limited story hopefully more will be added to the sequel(If there is one.) Other cameo's will be added hopefully.
  • Lack or no co-op, You could have easily tackled this game with a buddy and enjoyed all the fun together.
  • Short story can probably take a full day to beat it at least.
With all these facts and my final verdict i am going to give this game a..... TRY don't ride this game off if your a fan of the X-Men and Marvel, this game isn't the worst but no where near the best either. All these points are what sequels are for and these notes from fans they will take to heart and make sure to give us a better game. A lot of story elements now with a sequel can be added i would be expected to go through at least 4-5 X-Men storylines in game form. If all else fails maybe this could be a hint towards Marvel to bring back X-Men Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

Marvel should make Apocalypse vs. Dracula into an animated movie

Although just a 4 part miniseries doesn’t the idea of Dracula and Apocalypse not intrigue you at all reader? Well let me explain why this would be a great candidate for an animated movie.

You know what comes first what? Say it with me *Chants* M rating M rating, Dracula drinks the censors blood like it was water and apocalypse well beats the blood out of people so how can you not let loose and let the blood spill? Literally get some in a glass because Dracula gets thirsty.

Dracula and Apocalypse go at it so we got to make sure the fight scene is worthy of this kind of animated adaptation.

The story starts out with Hamilton Slade and Dracula at the highlight of their rise and inevitable power trip as they brutally kill Kabar Brashir along with a lot of other people; I mean seriously whose going to go up against Dracula? Buffy couldn’t save them and Blade wasn’t alive yet.

Somehow possibly off screen apocalypse kills Dracula, adding some more story element to this would be awesome to shine light on for the fans. Maybe give us more of a reason to how they interacted in the first place both of them being immortals isn’t a reliable story element.

Give some back story and cameo love to possibly some other characters that would be in the time period, since the series was so short they can add their own elements into it think of it as a story/sequel of sorts depending on how they route new story elements.

Lego Games that should be made.

I'm actually a fan of the Lego games and there funny non dialogue so why not have these franchises turned into blocks of Lego:

Lego X-Men:
Probably should be one of the top superhero games to make Lego like honestly. They have endless possibilities and an infinite supply of characters and story lines to use. I would love to see a Lego Dark Phoenix by the way =D. Also since the Lego characters are notorious for not speaking Lego Deadpool should be able to talk clearly and break the 4th wall (Literally and figuratively.)

Lego God Of War:
Your confused i can tell don't worry i know the blood and gore aspect cant be added but i think it would be a funny game all around like Kratos would just growl and his enemies would break apart and run into each other.

Lego Green Lantern:
Lego's have always inspired us as kids to use our imagination to the fullest so why not have a hero who literally has to use his imagination combined with Lego? Also most popular super hero games would make great Lego games anyway.

Lego Lord Of The Rings:

The Lego Matrix:
The Matrix helped shape Sci-fi and so why not have this idea in Lego form? A last Lego fight between Lego Neo and Lego Agent Smith would be so funny.

Lego Spider-Man:
With great Lego's comes great games, such a simple premise its hilarious actually.

Lego Star Trek:
Star Wars got a shot so why cant i see a Lego Spock trying to do "live long and prosper" even though he doesn't have fingers.

Marvel needs to make X-force into an animated movie:

Ok kids this article is about as bloody and violent as it gets so this article is not for you unless you can verify your age. *Turns around* if you lie I won’t know ok? So you’re of age for this article excellent, MURDER, BLOOD AND CLAWS. Yeah in an X-Men storyline you think I’m talking about Wolverine or even X-23 but actually I’m referring to the covert black ops team of the X-men known as X-Force. After some people and some situations become too hard to handle Cyclops realizes the X-men need to silence and shut down those people permanently. Enter Wolverine (shock), X-23, Warpath, Wolfsbane, Angel and Deadpool (He comes later but I would love to see him in his animated element killing people and joking about it.) So the team’s first mission is to investigate the theft of the head of the Nimrod and Master Mold fusion Bastion.  These are the key point’s spoiler free to make the movie awesome.

Needs to have blood and gore…… sorry kids X-force isn’t for kids and should not be kid friendly because on several missions Wolverine, X-23, and even Deadpool get a little murder happy. So this movie needs to capitalize on the violent aspect and stick with it, most of the members of X-Force fight a lot better when they don’t have censors holding them back.

X-23 being a founding member is a great thing because then she has yet to be in a movie or make an appearance so what better introduction then her killing everything in sight.

If were going to start this out right we needs William Stryker (never thought I would say that.) The mutant hating <insert bad word here> creates this group and searches far and wide for fellow mutant haters to help him in his cause.

Members of the purifiers need to include: William Stryker, Bastion, leper queen, and Bolivar Trask, Donald Peirce and Matthew Risman. a lot of members come and go but these needs to be the core team aside from the crazy religious people they have on the payroll.

X-23 is a skilled markswoman who has no problem using guns, just should showcase her other skills other than her claws and fighting abilities. It’s her first animated movie don’t want to make things to easy for her do we?

The first thing the purifiers do is revive dead x-men villains: the possibilities are endless for this have a side story of the X-force killing there old foes.

X-men Origins 2 getting new director

I’m the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice *claws* so what ya waitin for bub? Movie fans and comic book fanatics who like to see their favorite characters in the movies. I am here with some news. First let me say that the sequel to the yet again solo Wolverine movie X-Men Origins Wolverine is back and will see the light of day. I say that because there has been some unpleasantness with the director Darren Aronofsky leaving the project due to personal reasons. But don’t be sad buck up kid we’ve got a healing factor and we just roll with whatever comes our way. Even though the script is done the right director is key to the project I mean I’m going to say I do not want another X-Men Last Stand farce.

The longer they take to find a good director that will make this movie great is worth the wait and something we will all clap for when the movie is a lot better. Of course squeezing DeadPool in and his correct look and being able to talk would be a lot better also.

Now moving on to what we know so far its taking place in Japan so they’re going to take the route of when Wolverine was a samurai and memory ridden. Here are some key moments In the Japanese Arc that will grab our attention: The inclusion of Silver Samurai whose special sword mixed with his Tachyon energy who can make his sword cut through almost any substance including Wolverine’s indestructible adamantium claws. Lady Deathstrike wolverines love Yuriko Oyama, due to her own efforts and inability to defeat wolverine on her own she made a deal with Donald Pierce, Whose cyborg mercenaries called the reavers took over with the help of none other than spiral herself helped transform Deathstrike into a lean, mean, martial artist, with the claws to rival wolverines to talk the talk and the vengeance to walk the walk.
Maggie Q as Lady Deathstrike

All in all I’m always more satisfied to wait then have to see a potentially great movie go down in flames because they rushed it. Take your time and make sure this movie is better than the first, it’s good to note that Hugh and the crew are not going to just settle for the first director that turns their heads there making careful and thought out decisions to make the script and the new director’s vision something we all can’t wait to see.

Hiroyuki Sanada as Silver Samurai

Possible X-men First Class sequels?

Saw the movie? Loved it? Hated it? Well now sequels are being talked about so you need not worry… or worry it’s up to you. James McAvoy has been expressing that he would like to make X-men First Class into a three movie arc, the ending of the third will get us ready for the original X-men movie released in 2000. So what could this possibly mean for sequels to the First Class series? Could it mean possible first class versions of Storm, Gambit, Psylocke,X-23, or even a first class Deadpool? Or maybe starting team of the lovely Jean Grey, Cyclops, Ice man, and Angel?

(Just to clarify I am fully aware that most of the other characters were not even mentioned in the original comics, but due to the fact that the team in the movie did so good perhaps we can consider them X-men kids, Jr. X-men, or heck call first class the x-men evolution movies. But don’t lose faith X4 can still happen with luck and a better director. )

Professor Xavier and Magneto have always had a love hate relationship for as long as I can remember, their ideals are similar but their actions are far from the same as well as these methods to get the equality they deserve as mutants. If other movies are made McAvoy would like to explore that relationship more than in terms of good guy and bad guy but something deeper than that. Like Malcolm X and Martin Luther King.
