Lightning returns... with a new wardrobe!

I first told you about how the Time Management element will affect Lightning Returns Now i can say a little bit more about the game and how you change outfits as often as Spider-Man.... well not that many but a lot of clothes will be worn. Here's one of them now:

Don't think I'm going to leave you hanging during this time of giving and the holidays, some new gameplay details were revealed for Final Fantasy Lightning Returns. Lightning can freely operate within the city this means she can jump on things like telephone polls and other obstacles, she also can use stealth during certain missions that require you to be quiet and not my slash first and ask questions later policy.. gets the job done though doesn't it? Monsters will of course be returning and are even uninvited guests in Woodbury.. i mean.. just look at the screen and keep your eyes peeled for more info this week!

Lightning returns helps us manage time... or else!

When the clouds formed and my news thunder and lightning went crazy talking about Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lightning Returns i couldn't wait to bring you this news! One new feature about the game is the time feature here's how we break it down once the game starts you have 13 days to get the game done or else the game will punish you... Ok maybe not that but in more detail Motomu Toriyama explained the mechanics stating that yes the game will have a 13 day time limit but there not sure  how real-time aka our time will factor into the game time. Am i the only one seeing such fun chaos because of this? Whose to say we wont turn our system clocks back repeatedly to ensure the game clock never gets lower yet we do so much in-game stuff.

Gamers have already expressed their displeasure (shock) with the new mechanic saying it's not a mechanic Final Fantasy needs, at the same time Motomu Toriyama is always testing his limits and seeing exactly what fans like and how to bring in new fans as well as try to teach change to die-hard fans. A slight problem i may have is i am a heavy grinder in RPG's and i think this game will have a heavy effect on how i play my game, although with the confirmation that you gain more time by completing quests and or defeating enemies my mind is set at ease.

It wouldn't be the first time a game used a time mechanic for game play purposes:
  • Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
  • Dead Rising
  • Devil Survivor Overclocked
  • Ruin Factory
All great games with time limits just depends on how they implement that gamers can still go at the pace there used to and fully enjoy the experience.
