Marvel blew our minds this San Diego Comic Con 2013, not with the hopeful confirmation of rumored Phase Three Movies Black Panther and Doctor Strange but instead with the main focus of the Avengers sequel coming to theatres in the summer of 2015.
Thanos being teased to us in the ending of first film had us all at the edge of our seats and clamoring making theories to why he'd show and how he'd literally murder everyone, well the mass murder is right since it wont be Thanos our heroes will be facing off against instead it's going with the Age of Ultron story and using the evil Terminator-esque robot as the baddie this time around.
Not to be based on the recent Age of Ultron story it's going to be tweaked and reworked, With Ant-Man coming to Marvel's Phase Three I already know what you're thinking "With his movie coming and he's not in this what's the point MrDarkPhoenix?" Well Ultron is going to have a different origin this time around and to compensate for that our favorite Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. is going to be responsible for his origins and creation... Thanks a lot for dooming us Tony!
This storyline has been used as a means of Tony Stark creating Ultron or even being manipulated for several reasons:
- A highly intelligent replacement for the Avengers when they retire.
- J.A.R.V.I.S. becomes more intelligent as being seen to operate a suit on his own in Iron Man 3 and so he's angry in the destruction of the suits and feels he's not wanted or needed.
- Tony Stark always delves his mind to dark places in the tech world to stay on top or challenge himself, this time he may have gone to far?
- Anyone else think he's simply not just taking a vacation? He could have a fail safe of armors that he hasn't told anyone about, which leads to J.A.R.V.I.S. reactivating them and gaining more intelligence.. possible S.H.I.E.L.D. reference since he would need Nick Fury or Maria Hill nukes and possibly give us an answer to whether Tony was able to fully gain the secrets of the helicarrier and S.H.I.E.L.D
