When word first broke about the Avengers tie in game made by Sega and how bad it looked Take a look at what Sega planned to do with the Avengers but now with the departure of Sega no longer making Marvel movie based games Ubisoft takes up the mantle now and gives us The Avengers: Battle for Earth. Not the adventure based game these kinds of things usually are but instead a fighting game based off Secret Invasion!! So many Skrulls to beat up i cant wait! The game will feature 20 characters to pick from and you can play as the villains also.... I knew i forgot to mention something about this game I'll let this quote from the Ubisoft senior vice president tell you:
“We are excited to team up with Marvel Entertainment to bring some of the most iconic comic book characters from the Marvel line-up to life in motion-gaming. Fans of the Marvel universe and superhero games are going to love the extensive combinations of characters, motion-controlled moves and competitive gameplay.”
With a motion controlled fighting game can bring to the table is a lot of questions until we see actual footage, they always wanted to bring a fighting game to Kinect and now they might have the chance depending on how it plays and what characters they add in it does sound like a fun idea but not one that sounds like it should be taken seriously as of yet. Bummer i was hoping for another glimpse into an X-men Legends or Marvel Ultimate Alliance kind of game.... that would have been easier to do right?
